ADVANCING

In November of 2023, I represented Marcus High School Thespian Troupe #4268 at the Texas Thespain State Festival in Grapevine, Texas. I competed in a Lighting Design Thespy. In this event I presented my lighting design work from The Ash Girl by Timberlake Wertenbaker to a 3-judge panel. In this presentation I dicussed my design process in various aspects including research based off the script, color media used, my light plot and instrument schedule from the show, and different cues from throughout the show. Following this presentation I was questioned by the judges and scored. I was awarded a Superior score. This Superior score awarded me the title of "National Qualifier" and made me eligible to present at the National Competition in June of 2023 should I choose to.
